We believe in the gifts that are given to us – that some would be apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers … for the work of ministry, and for building up the body of Christ. (Epheisans 4:11-12). No where is that more evident than in the ministries of Unity.
Our ministry begins in worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30am or 11:00am or for those who can’t be with us in person, join our live online broadcast of the 11:00am service. Previous services can also be found in our archives.
Our ministry continues as we seek to learn about God. We search scriptures to learn who God is while we search our hearts to know ourselves and how we connect with God and the world. Our many Adult Education opportunities help us in this quest.
We take our mission beyond our doors, reaching out to our community and the world. This call to support others is honored both with monetary support and with direct, hands-on participation. Read more about our missions here.
We minister to each other. Our Stephen Ministers are highly trained lay members who provide one-on-one confidential, Christ-centered care to those who are hurting. This also spills over to the pastoral care of our congregation as these people combine with Tricia, David, and our Member Care team to reach out to those in immediate need.
We also take our caring another step further, by caring for our earth and all people in it through our Compassion, Peace, and Justice team and their sub-team, the Earth Care Committee.
One special way we reach out to the community is through our Unity Preschool. Operated through a full time director and governing board, our preschool helps young children explore their place in God’s world. We also reach children through our Children and Youth programs and Boy Scouts.
And the health of our congregation is important. We have health care professionals in the congregation who work to bring you blood drives and health screenings; blood pressure checks and speakers on topics of interest. They also offer weekly yoga classes, sponsored by Sally’s Y, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:00am in the CYC.
