Mission and Outreach
Our call to serve others is honored both with monetary support and with direct hands-on participation. First, we give as generously as possible to support the mission work done through our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA). Through the PC(USA), schools, hospitals, food, water systems, and all manner of aid to the poor throughout the world is provided.
We also provide financial support to local ministries, such as the East Lincoln Christian Ministry, Amy’s House for battered women, Habitat for Humanity, Florence Crittenton and the East Lincoln Pregnancy Center, and our area Presbyterian Homes for Children.
With our hands, we serve by sending teams to work alongside others in our presbytery rebuilding churches and other structures destroyed by hurricane. We help area residents with needs on their homes, building porches, roofs, and wheelchair ramps. We serve by going to Nigeria to distribute shoes, sending shoeboxes throughout the world, and using our time and resources to help the Cherokee people of North Carolina.
We try to make a difference in the lives of others. What a difference it makes in ours!
